Artists / Bengas
Rom band Bengas was founded in Prague in 2001 and is a representative of Dža music (which in Roma means go). Bengas go with the music of Rom of all the world, their fiery style is mix of east častuška, čardáš, songs of Rom from Russia and Hungary, Balcan folklore, inspired also by Arabian and Spanish rhythms. They melt all this carefully in their own repertoire sung in Roma. In may, they were stars of this year´s Khamoro Rom world festival in Prague.
