Artists / Tubabu
Tubabu is a crowd of Brno musicians who admire extatic, fiery trans rhythms of western Africa. During their concerts, they often mix their compositions with information about the essence or sence of various rhythms. Their performances include dancing, as well as spontaineous workshops with the audience. With self irony, the members of Tubabu claim that the name Tubabu was chosen as an alibi - in Bambar and Malink language it means "whites" and it shows that can never equal the African even if they wanted.
